Jewellery Care and Sizing.

Jewellery Care

Over time jewellery will naturally dull and gather dust and be effected by the daily contact of chemicals that live in our perfumes, moisturisers and house-hold products. In order to keep your jewellery looking in top condition, it is recommended that you soak your pieces in some warm water and gentle dish-soap for a few minutes before giving it a brush with a soft toothbrush (a baby’s toothbrush is usually a good option). This is especially beneficial for rings and pieces with stones in, and should be done every few months in order to keep your piece looking sparkly and new.

You may of found that your stones have dulled after a few months of wearing, don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with them and there will just be a build-up of dirt behind the stones that needs cleaning away. Repeat the above suggestion as often as you like, just be gentle and if you find that the dirt isn’t coming away, get in touch with the studio and we can use our Ultrasonic cleaning machine to bring your jewellery back to life.

Opals, Pearls & Emeralds

If your item contains any of these precious gemstones, it is suggested that you take theses off before swimming, sleeping, and exercising to avoid doing any damage to these softer stones/minerals. Because they are porous materials they can absorb chemicals, sweat and perfumes more easily, and run a higher risk of becoming damaged, chipped or dull.
