Louisa Slade

With a passion for creating unique textures and one-off pieces, Louisa specialises in remodelling preloved jewellery into new, contemporary designs. Taking her inspiration from the enigmatic power of nature and the beauty found in small places, she creates detailed and unique designs that hope to intrigue the wearer.

With 8 years of experience in the industry, she began her studies at West Dean College of Art studying blacksmithing, silver-smithing, and jewellery manufacture. She then went on to complete 3 diplomas in Jewellery Manufacture at the British Academy of Jewellery in Hatton Garden.

Although a stickler for traditional jewellery techniques and producing jewellery to the highest of standards, Louisa likes to be more freeform with her making process and includes both explorative techniques such as granulation and cuttlefish casting, alongside her traditional training.

Her most recent projects can be viewed in her portfolio.

“Louisa transformed a mish-mash of unworn jewellery into a beautiful pair of gold and diamond Tectonic earrings and a statement topaz ring - couldn’t be more delighted.”
